The Artist - About Me

I was born in Camberwell, South East, London in 1957 and moved in 1997 to Cornwall.

I started studying Art and Design Foundtion level in 1999 at the University College at Falmouth.

After I completed my Foundation I continued studying at Falmouth for my BA (Hons) degree in Fine Art, which I completed in 2006.

I paint in Mixed Media and enjoy this type of painting as it allows me to combine my photographic work together with paint on canvas.

Coming from London my art was originally influenced around my 'roots' and had a strong London feel to them.

Also, being a woman my work is based around femaleness the female form, on concentrates on themes such as 'Gender & Sexuality', 'Femininity', 'Self-identity' and 'Narrative'.
